They all suggested I have my ankle fused. This meant I would walk with a limp and wear special shoes for the rest of my life. My daughter read an article in the New York Times praising the work of an orthopedist, Dr Craig Radnay. He had done many ankle replacements. I checked his references and credentials, all of which were excellent. I went to see him. I found a charming, sympathetic man who said I was a good candidate for a new ankle. I told him I was ready. That was the best thing I could have done. Three days after the operation, I was home. After three months of rehabilitation , I was walking, climbing stairs and shortly after dancing. My friends could not believe how well I was moving. I am now 71 years old and am running around like a spring chicken. I owe it all to Dr. Radnay. He did a terrific job. If it was not for him, I would be hobbling around or in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. I can’t thank him enough. He restored my quality of life. I would recommend him to anyone who needs similar surgery. Thank You, Dr. Radnay.
